Abashed is a 2.5D narrative-driven side-scrolling game that lets you explore the life of Issac, a man living with psychosis. One day waking up all alone, he sets out to find the truth behind his missing partner. On the way he finds himself needing to confront his deepest fears and the darkest secrets. Join Issac in this story of love, loss, fear, and acceptance. Reality is not what it seems.

History

The journey of Abashed began with a simple question: What does it mean to confront our deepest fears? Inspired by personal experiences and a fascination with exploring the human psyche, I wanted to create a game that dives into themes of love, loss, trauma, and self-discovery.

The concept for Abashed came about during a period of reflection on how our minds construct realities, and how fragile those realities can become when faced with grief and trauma. From the start, the goal was to craft a deeply personal experience—one that could resonate with players and challenge them to see the world from a different perspective.

The game is as much about Issac's journey as it is about my own—a story of pushing through uncertainty and embracing vulnerability to uncover hidden truths. I hope players find themselves as immersed in this world as I was in creating it.
